This future-forward Level 3 Diploma, developed by Pearson in partnership with the British Esports Federation, is designed to help learners channel their passion for gaming into successful and skilled careers in the rapidly growing industry.
In 2022, the global Esports market was valued at just over 1.38 billion U.S. dollars. Additionally, the eSports industry’s global market revenue was forecast to grow to as much as 1.87 billion US dollars in 2025 with expectations of further growth in years to come as Esports, and more specifically video game streaming, are making their way into popular culture. (statista.com 2022).
As of 2022, the worldwide eSports audience size reached 532 million people. In the years to come, more and more viewers are expected to tune in to watch their favourite games being played by some of the best gamers in the world. By 2025, there are expected to be over 640 million viewers of eSports worldwide. (statista.com 2022)
Entry Requirements
Students must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher, including English and Maths.
Learners will also need to have interest and enthusiasm for Esports
Demonstrate commitment to their study in terms of attendance, punctuality and behaviour
A willingness to participate in group work
Esports Careers
Where possible we work with relevant guest speakers and visitors to further enhance the student experience. There are opportunities to work on local and national projects that serve to not only develop technical skills but also interpersonal skills while gaining essential industry working experience.
As part of the main programme you will be responsible for creating a brand, designing a logo and handling the student run Esports_LMC social media channels.
